- 11 Nov 2009: The BCDSS Annual General Meeting took place Saturday, October 24th @ 2pm at VCC Downtown. Your new board for 2009/2010:
- 23 Oct 2009: The BCDSS AGM is now confirmed as being in Vancouver at the VCC Downtown location in room 420 from 2 pm to 4 pm, October 24th. The address is 250 West Pender Street (between Hamilton Street and Cambie Street). The VCC Downtown location is 2 blocks (1 block North and 1 block West) of the Stadium Skytrain station.
- 21 Sep 2009: Due to changes/cuts to the Direct Access Grant program by the Provincial Government the BCDSS recieved $0 in grant funds this year (in contrast to ~$22,000 in recent years). This may result in program changes, or program cuts as a significant number of Ultimate programs are historically subsidized by grant funds, in particular: Juniors programs, Outreach programs (including Power of Sport Tour and clinics) and the BC Ultimate Championships. As virtually all Disc Golf programs are sustainably funded through user fees, the impact of this loss of grant funding is expected to be minimal, it will limit our ability to expand or enhance our programs. It is unclear whether we can expect to receive grant funding in future years.
- 11 Sep 2009: The BCDSS Annual General Meeting will be held in Vancouver on October 24th, 2009. Telephone attendence is possible, proxy voting is also permitted. There will likely be a motion presented to the membership which would result in the end of the BCDSS, and have Ultimate and Disc Golf represented by new organizations respectively. Additional details to follow.

Regardless of the outcome, all boards of the BCDSS will still need new board members going forward. So if you're interested, please do run for a position on the Disc Golf, Ultimate or Main Boards. We would love to have improved board representation from around the province. You may submit your nomination in advance if you are unable to attend.
